What personal information we collect and why

We collect a limited amount of personal information through this site: If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your name and email address through MailPoet, our email newsletter provider, so we can send you updates. We use Google Analytics (GA4), via Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use our site — this includes information like pages viewed, general location, and device type, but does not identify you personally. If you contact us directly by email, we keep that correspondence for as long as needed to respond to and resolve your inquiry. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Where your information goes

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

In addition:

Newsletter subscriber information is kept for as long as you remain subscribed, and is deleted after you unsubscribe.

Analytics data collected through Google Analytics is retained for 14 months.

Direct email correspondence is kept for as long as reasonably needed to address your inquiry, and is deleted periodically afterward.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. This also applies more broadly: you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to data collection at any time (including via the cookie consent tool), and request a copy of your information in a portable format.
